Set Free From Comparison
Comparing ourselves to others is a normal part of being human, but often times it can leave us feeling miserable and inadequate. Social media creates a greater imbalance by allowing us to glimpse only a partial view of other people's lives instead of all the highs and lows that everyone experiences. We compare this polished personality against our real lives and against a partial view of ourselves that includes only our failures or weaknesses.
When we believe that God is who He says He is, and we believe He created us and loves us, we have a truer version of who we are and can be grateful for who God made us to be, equipping us with the tools to recognize unhealthy comparison and turning our focus to our Father and Creator in gratitude.
DETAILS: Soup and salad potluck at 6:30 followed by a brief discussion around being set free from comparison, and great fellowship.
BRING: A salad topping, a notebook and a friend!
